During each session, I focus on creating an atmosphere that feels comfortable and fostering a connection of transparency. My goal is to honor your autonomy and free will in the collaboration process. At anytime, you are welcome to terminate our work together, change the pace, or direct our session differently. I desire to help you harness your inner strength and resilience so that you may be an active participant in the process.
Ultimately, I am here to offer my expertise, but I trust and encourage you to direct the sessions regarding what feels most aligned and helpful to you. I will always respect your boundaries and never force you to discuss anything you're not comfortable discussing. It is a priority for me to spend time in our session sharing information about the mind-body connection as well as the nervous system, including states of dysregulation and tools to become regulated again. I take into consideration that each person has a unique history and complex life circumstances that impact them on many levels. I approach lifestyle and coping mechanisms with patience and understanding.
Both therapists and mentors desire to provide a supportive relationship to assist a client; however, their overall objectives and approaches are different. Their levels of education and credentialing can vastly differ, so it is important to understand if your desired outcome matches the skillset of the therapist or mentor with whom you're considering working.
While a therapist often focuses on resolving symptoms related to a mental health diagnosis, a mentor can assist a client in identifying a goal, discussing potential barriers, and developing strategies to aid in its achievement.
Therapy is the best option for working with a diagnosis, and mentorship may be the best option to receive support in creating and implementing a targeted plan of action to achieve a goal around feeling, thinking, and behaving differently.
I offer a different approach to wellness by incorporating the subtle energy bodies into my practice. My focus during sessions brings forward the reality of the spirit world and imaginal realms as crucial elements of the journey. When considering health and wellness from a psychospiritual approach, challenges are viewed as stepping stones of the evolutionary process rather than problems to be eradicated. Symptoms are invitations to look more deeply into the psyche at what desires attention. The goal is wholeness, not perfection.
These services are not intended to replace formal psychological treatment, medical care, or legal counsel of any kind but are meant to be one piece of the puzzle that is a holistic approach. A psychospiritual approach is not a quick fix or a cure all. This type of work is intended for the individual who is ready to explore their psyche and take personal accountability for their journey.
The process is collaborative, so I will not give all of the answers or do all of the work; I will, however, walk confidently and honestly alongside as a guide. As a guide, I will not support spiritual bypassing but will bring forward concepts in a grounded way to encourage full embodiment in the human experience which will ultimately support spiritual expansion.
